Songs Related to Couples

Post by Domato on Mon Feb 23, 2009 2:12 am

I often hear songs that I associate with couples I like, but the sweetest always belong to me a Double D.

*sigh*

I'm so pathetic.

THIS ISN'T EVEN A LOVE SONG:

UNDER THE QUARTER MOON
Carla Sciaky, Salonica Publishing Co.

Chorus:
As the wind slips over your waters
Sing to me sweetly Superior
Sing me a Chippewa Story
Under the quarter moon

Who has walked along your shoreline
Sweetly sing, sweetly sing
Ancient footsteps washed before mine
Under the quarter moon

chorus:

Who has tasted your lilting breezes
Sweetly sing, sweetly sing
And watched the cycle of your seasons
Under the quarter moon

chorus:

Who has heeded your murmured warnings
Sweetly sing, sweetly sing
Of coming storms with snowy winds roaring
Under the quarter moon

chorus:

Who like me has sat daydreaming
Sweetly sing, sweetly sing
Lulled by your crystal waters gleaming
Under the quarter moon

chorus:

Would that I possessed your vision
Sweetly sing, sweetly sing
Your timeless eyes and silent wisdom
Under the quarter moon

chorus:
As the wind slips over your waters
Sing to me sweetly Superior
Sing me a Chippewa Story
Under the quarter moon
Under the quarter moon

*siiiiggggghhhh*

It's actually a song about Lake Superior. Hurrah.

Lol, nice.
I can see why you like it, too.

I've got loads... Another one is "Sweet Touch Of Love" by Allen Toussaint, mostly because it just makes me want to dance and everything... I'm really pathetic, actually. I realize that more and more all the time...

I always think the song "Pretty Dress" by Rosie Thomas reminds me of Marie and Double D.
Link to da song
I always cry when I hear it.

I'll find some more later.

Congratulations.
Was it worth it?
The only thing you managed to break so far
Is my heart.
This isn't brave.
It's murder.
What did I ever do to you?
You don't even care? Do you?

I'm truly blessed, ain't I?

"You're My Disco" by Fischerspooner makes me think of Edd x Eddy ;D

There's like, a ton of songs that I've sat around picturing Edd/Eddy to. But it sometimes changes according to what "possible future" I'm envisioning them having together at that time. Off the top of my head, here's a small sampling:

Routine by Wintersleep

Sleeping Beauty by A Perfect Circle

I Don't Want It by Ween

Hate Me by Blue October
